Submersible LED lights

the cold cathode lights you can get for computers work good. they spread the light out evenly in the tank and are very small/easy to fit in the hood.

I have a set of Miraclebeam LED lights gathering dust. They were included in a used tank deal, 1 red, 1 green, 1 blue light module. The light modules are waterproof, with small suction cups to attach them to the glass inside the tank. More modules can be bought separately, $12 shipped if you want the set.

and it goes under the water? I noticed that one when I did my search.
Yes fully submersible & rotates 360 degree's for pinpiont application, hard to match for the price. It can & is shown used w/ a bubble ring, under gravel shining upward pushing the visual effect's perspective. I was only interested in observing my fish w/ as little disruption as possible which is why I went w/ this 1 because it really simulates moon phase pretty well not very bright/intense, but certainly enough that I can see what I need to, placed in the tank submerged on the underside of the center support it still allow's for the ends of the tank to remain in drkness & for me its also asthetically pleasing enough, all the light's off except this 1 casting shadow's all round the room, good stuff:) . I also dive & the blue remind's me of night diving w/ a full or near to it moon, which is always a perfect place to visit w/ out leaving the house even if for only for a short while. My 4 yr old (not a diver yet, lol:)) agrees, she love to see the community of multipunctatus lock pec. fins & "dance" together on the front of the tank glass, quite the sight, enjoying your tank to a new level. Next order to Drs.FS in a couple mnths. & I plan to order a few more for the other tank's @ the price, its all good. No build up of algae as of yet, but as I said its only on for maybe 4hrs. a night. Hope it help's. Hollar bck & let us know what you went w/ & what cha think:)
