Has anyone tried these submersilble moonlights? Are they any good? I was thinking about sticking it to the bottom of my hood or on the top of the back of the tank shining down.
thats too many lights. 15?!? you are better off using 4 spaced out across your hood. it'll look better. leds are bright, and with that setup youd be lighting up the tank too much
Never really thought of that. I do know my angels will always angle themselves towards the light. If I pull the lightstrip off the tank and lean it against the tank they sort of swim on a strange angle.
I think moon lights are interesting to look at fish that usually only come out at night. It's fun to see their antics. I have a Marina led light, which comes in blue, red, green, and white. I have the blue, as I think it looks more natural. As to the light affecting the fish, I notice my lemon tetra swimming at a slightly off angle as well. I have mine on the outside, right-hand side of my aquarium angled up so that the light hits the top of the water and dissperses back down to light up the rest of the tank. This way it looks more natural, because I don't have a "spotlight" effect where the light is focused on one thing. http://www.petsmart.com/global/prod...023693&bmUID=1164901963246&itemNo=3&N=2030121
