Substrate advice ?

H i, I am just wondering, I am setting up a 65 Gallon tank and I want to plant it, I was thinking of using just gravel on it, but I know there are soils and other option's . Does anyone have any advice on what to use. Oh yea I want to stock it with discus and tetras if that matter's.

what i have been told was to use either flourite or eco-complete or flourite mixed with gravel or a layer of laterlite covered by grave. i think again i am not sure i am a new to plants.
