One of my favourite cichlids has always been the sheepshead acara (Laetacara curviceps), but until a week ago I had never seen any at my LFS's. When I saw they had a pair I bought them, and much to my surprise they spawned yesterday, so I thought I'd share some pics that I got a friend of mine to take for me today.
The female:

The father who was somewhat reclusive during most of the photo shoot today:
However, after we had packed up he decided to tag back in (the pair takes turns guarding the eggs), offering this shot:
Here's a pic that I actually took of the pair together:
A friend of mine took the pictures (save the last one, which I took) with a Nikon D70S, alternating between a Nikon 18-70 lens and a Tamaron 70-300 telephoto lens. I also did a little bit of Photoshop voodoo to get the images closer to reality.
