I am looking to replace the ugly (atleast I think it is) and very fast growing water sprite in my tank with a background plant that grows fairly fast (maybe not as fast as the WS) and will stay rooted well. The other plants in my tank are 2 swords, 1 anubias, 3 or 4 crypts, and a bunch of val. Any suggestions?

So far, my shoping list looks like this:
  • Green Hygro
  • Wisteria
  • Asian Ambulia (not for replacing the WS, just want to try this plant)
  • Creeping Charlie
  • Red Ludwiga
I dont plan to get all of them. I addded several to that list because I am sure I wont be able to find many of them here in Col., OH. I may be getting some Rotala starts from another member here so, I will hold off on looking for that for the moment. I'm going to start calling around in a bit and hopefully find some of them today. Feel free to comment on these or suggest any others.

I'm having success with and enjoying the Red Ludwiga in my tank. Hearty plant and it adds some color.

I second the Rotala Indica. :)
