alright, i posted a thread on how i was getting a 25g for free and i didnt know what to do with it, well i just got the tank and it turned out to be bigger than i thought. its a custom made 36"-10"-17", no clue how many gallons. i have no clue on what to stock it with besides that i want a tank full of fish that are fun to watch. any ideas?

Hi,

A group of six Schwartz's Cories, one Angelfish as the center piece fish, and eight Cardinal Tetras (don't think the Angel will eat them). Maybe some other fish too.

thanks for the ideas, but i dont like the idae of a species tank, but tiger barbs seem pretty cool. i dont want the whole south america theme with angels and cardinals. how about cichlids? maybe dwarf cichlids or african? also, i could do salt or brackish.

angels get to big for a less than 27 gallon tank

perhaps you would like some sailfin mollies or swordtails?

i do like sailfins, but im starting to lean torwards cichlids. i think ill get cichlids and some sailfins if they fit into the type of cichlids i get. could any african cichlids work? wouldnt it be to hard to setup all the rocks with such a small depth?

Hi,

In my personal opinion it would be fine to have a angel in a 27 gallon tank, but maybe I'm wrong.

i agree that you could have one angel, but they do prefer groups.

Shell dwelling cichlids would work in a tank that size or maybe a pair of a Julidochromis species.
