Those are way too 'bright' and will wash out the color of a freshwater tank. 10,000K bulbs are used with saltwater tanks. Actinic bulbs are also for saltwater set-ups.Maquar said:Are the 10000k bulbs best for that? .......

Just take your light fixtures to your local pet store and tell them you want the cheapest light bulbs that will fit your fixture. It will be enough light and unless you have plants, which you don't, forget about the worry and save your money.
