Suggestions for a 10G

peach rum 11, here is a link to a basic article on shelldweller care. It describes the tank setup and water chemistry needed.

I have ocellatus in my 10 gallon, and they are super cool and cute little fish, with tons of personality.

I like this cichlid, thanks for the info. I've been wondering what to house in my 25g. Sounds interesting. But, take note:

Avoid Corydoras and Otocinclus. These fish are usually murdered upon introduction.

I will second avoiding cories and potentially aggressive dwarf cichlids in the same tank... When the cichlids become aggressive, they'll have no place to go. Some people may have had it work, but I had a pair of Kribs in with a trio of cories- the kribs kept the cories huddled into one corner (this is in a tank twice as long as a 10g), and the night before I decided to take the cories out, a krib killed one of them. Just a word of caution for the sake of the cories.

Are you speaking of the Rams and the o-cats/corys I have together in my 10g? I thought Rams were peaceful cichlids?? So far the coexistence seems peaceful. I could be way off. The only other cichlids I have ever kept are Angels and I have 3 in my 55g planted. Would you suggest putting the Rams in the 55g planted? I'm not sur of the compatibility even with that switch. Thanks for the tip.
