i have bought a new 75 g tank and after cycling plan to put 10 mollies, 20 tiger barbs, 4 blue gourami and a couple of red tail sharks along with one sucker... one , would they all be compatible? and two in a tank of 4' x 2' x 15" would these be ok or will be it too overcrowding?
You are open to alot of options here....you can go with a large school of some sort of tetras ..... 20 Rummynose would look good ...or even 20 Cardinals
a brand new 75 is a perfect opportunity for a Discus tank.
But I understand not wanting to take the plunge into that world , so a large school of Cardinals would be pretty cool. I don't see why the Cardinals wouldn't be available in your area, they are very common fish in the trade.
75g is a good size for a nice amazon setup.. a school of rummynoses, a school of cardinals, and a smaller group of harlequin rasboras (or other rasbora) is an excellent setup.
If you want to stay with a South Asian theme, rasboras are quite peaceful and pretty. And don't leave out zebra danios. They're attractive, active, and very amusing.
How about some kuhli loaches? (They need plants and other hiding places, however.)
