Suggestions Needed...

Since your tank is a low light tank, those ferts should be enough. They don't have phsophates but that can come from the fish food and waste.

I still need fertilizer tabs for the crypt's root systems though, right?

You don't absolutely need the root tabs for the crypts but it would help their growth early on, especially if they experience some "crypt melt" where they begin to lose leaves (a fairly common occurrence on new crypts).

Yeah... mine's leaves didn't even last through the shipping process... I planted them as stumps!! That's why I was gonna buy some tabs to see if I can get them to sprout. They're starting to turn a tannish-brown color and I'm fearing maybe they didn't make it... how long should I wait for them to sprout anything before I give up and toss them? Same question for my anubias? How long when they lose all their leaves until they show signs of regrowth and when should I just give up on them?

And thanks for all the help you've given so far as well!!! :dance2:

Hmm...never dealt with crypts with no leaves on before but you can leave them in there for a week to see if there's any new growth.

As long as the rhizome on the anubias is still green it will grow leaves, if it's yellowing supply ferts. If it's brown and gone mushy, trash it.

Awesome!! I'll keep that in mind then. Maybe its the same with the crypts? They're yellowing. ; _ ;

I was told it was normal for crypts to lose their leaves and then regrow new ones in a week or two. That they don't handle transission well or something like that, but are hardy once they establish themselves.

I encounter lots of plants like that when I'm gardening and I know what to look for with them... but this aquatic stuff is something else!!! ^__^;;
