Suggestions on a 30 gal.?

ok. I am getting a 30 gallon fish tank tomorrow and here is what i have.

30 gal. fish tank (obviously)
150 seaclone protein skimmer
two 170gph powerheads
30 whisper filter
Glass canopy
i THINK its a powercompact but im not sure but it IS good lighting.

Thanks for any suggestions you post on here.
 
Do a reef, your "good" lighting may work or debending on what you want it may need to be better. But you will be most rewarded witha reef IMO.

Suggestions on what? Equipment, livestock?
 
Well it isnt any news jmarino is my little brother ahah. We are purchasing today from a fellow reefer so we will have about 35 pounds or more. All equiptment works and is new, we are adding live argonite sand and reef chrystals. Lighting ( cant thing of the name ) is very powerful.
 
i personaly, i would suggest upgrading skimmer :)
but i still cant wait to see some pics!
 
definatly will do in near future. I mean speneding nearly 600$ in 2 days on fish and acceroies and plus aggervation any sale looked good. I bought the 150 for 50$ so i mean even if it breaks ill return!
 
It's not that they break it's they they work poorly by design. It is a cheap skimmer and will work accordingly. I have one on my 10 gal (100 model) and I have quit running it all together.
