Sump

Could I make I sump out of a large plastic box?
Ive seen it done at the lfs

I know i'll need an overflow, but what size return pump would I need on a 55g?

I wanted to put a reugium w/ mangroves in the sump

if you want a serious refugium then get a tank for it, but you can get it 2nd hand, alot cheaper. the ammount of flow is dependant on how big the hole is
