Ok heres the deal, I've been setting up a new reef tank and a friend of mine gave me some different corals he had to start in my tank. I got a candy cane frag, a green star polyp and a sunburst polyp. Now heres my prob i know the scientific name of the first 2 but i can find the name of the last one. but heres a pic so that maybe you can tell me. :help:

no that dont look like it. it curls up into a ball when not out. but when out it has a big main shaft body then it has a lot of fingers at the end. it feeds with the fingers see the pic above they are about pea size right now and in a small grouping. the outer pea body is green then they open up to a nice yellowish brown color now but when they are bigger like in my friend tank they turn bright yellow.

I still think it looks like yellow colony polyps, which is the same thing as the above link, but that's not a good pic.

The coloring can depend on the lighting, but they're all the same species. someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. :)

here's another good link I found
