Sunpaq Dual Daylight Bulbs

Does anybody have any experience with these "dual daylight" CFL bulbs? Advertised as a 6700k & 10,000k bulb together for a wide range of the spectrum. I have 6700k now (java fern only) and I'm not enjoying the color.

Curious if I should take this seriously or maybe it will hardly change color at all.

I can't vouch for this particular brand, but in the past I have combined 6700k and 10,000k bulbs, and the 10,000k bulb provides a nice bright glow, and I found that plants seemed to enjoy it much better, too. :)
 
I have personally used them and am currently still using a couple. They are nice and provide a good balance of color.

That being said, I am switching to all 10000k to see how it looks.
 
something I did notice, is that I had a much tougher time with green spot algae (the hard kind) when using a 10,000k bulb. The 10,000k was in the front, and only when I used that bulb, the front glass got harder to clean.

small sacrifice, because my plants BLEW up. :p:
 
Good insights. Can anybody comment on the impact that 1 10k bulb has on the fish colors? Right now the dual 6700 look dull.
 
I've got a sunpaq dual daylight going in over my 16gallon bowfront. I like it a lot. My plants love it.

I also do not enjoy the dull yellowish/greenish tint of the 6700K bulbs.

The 10000K bulb will significantly improve the colors which you perceive of your fish.

I use the 6700/10000 combo all the time, but only 1/4 of the light. 3-6700K to 1-10000K bulb. IMO---6700 makes the tank too yellow.

My plants have been and are growing out of control. Every week I give about a pound or so plants to friend, LFS, ect.
