Is it safe to use superglue in my tank, I am planning on using the superglue to glue the rocks together to make a cave for my cichlids. The reason why I want to use superglue is because I have a friend that uses this stuff for his tank, he uses it for his saltwater aquarium. He says that it is alright to use it for salt water and that guys from his forums use it to glue the zoo's to their rocks. So do you think its alright to use in freashwater?

good aquarium silicone should be just as good, might need longer to set (up to a week) but you can be sure it will be safe for your fish
id use silicon, jsut to be safe. you have to really kow whats in that superglue youre planning to use

the gel glue u used from me is what i used to glue my frags to my rock
as soon as I put the glue on and attach the frags,I wait 30secs then I put them in my tank and wait until the glue turns milky white(takes about another 30
secs )
then I just take the frags out and let them sit for 2 mins to let the glue dry and Im good to go

"Superglue" (cyanoacrylate) is safe and non-toxic but ultimately soluable in water. This takes awhile though. Perhaps a more permanent method would be to use an epoxy. It takes longer to set but holds literally forever in absence of ultraviolat light. Uncured epoxy hardener (not the resin component) is somewhat hazardous. Like poison ivy it can cause skin irritation depending on your individual sensitivity. When cured, epoxy is absolutely inert.
