Now that we have a decent crowd of marine folks here (yaaay!) I can do a little polling. I am interested in what people add to their tanks and why. Since there are so many combinations, the checkboxes won't work very well.

I'll start:
Water changes every 1-2 weeks (~25%)
Saturated kalkwasser drip as make-up water (plus a little B-Ionic), for Ca and alkalinity
Tahitian Blend phytoplankton
Fish food

I have been wondering if I can get away with ignoring other elements because of the large regular water changes. The corals don't seem to be missing anything.

supplements

We do weekly water changes of 10%

Additives: ESV 2 part Cal/Alk daily
ESV magnesium ( am dosing 5-10 ml daily until target of 1200 is reached)
DT's phytoplankton
combination of flake and frozen food
krill for our scolymia and rock flower anemone
and of course--lot's of love

25-30% changes every 2 weeks
Kalkwasser dosing every other day
Iodine weekly
Fish food, invert food every other day
Daily attention--the lion and trigger pout if we don't sit and watch them for a while. ;)

I have a 90 gallon tank and here is what I do. I think some things I haven't seen a big difference such as iron. I am thinking about finishing this bottle and going without since a lot of you aren't doing that. Heck for that matter I might try what you all are trying and see what happens for a week or so. I am sure the gorgs etc. will tell me if they are unhappy.

Weekly
10% water change weekly
2.5gal dose of reef former concentrate weekly
silversides to bubble and condy

Twice a week
8ml of iodine
6.5ml of iron
Roti Rich Invert food
9 drops of strontium
cyclopeze to polyps

Every Other Day
Seaweed for Blue Tang (aka Sky)
Cycopeze

Daily
Frozen brine and formula one mixed with extreme garlic
1 cap of DTs Live Marine Phyto
Since I have a tank that butts up against my couch we are consistantly babysitting. The hawk loves attention. (Popeye)
