I have ordered some plants online and they should be arriving on wedsneday. i was wondering when i should start adding my supplements and co2 to the tank. i have flourish, flourish excel, and flourish iron. also how much of each for 20 gallon aquarium. and i am also doing a diy co2 unit, when should i start adding that to my tank. thanks

A little tip:
If you have a HOB filter, make sure the water level remains above where the water flows out of - it greatly reduces surface agitation.
I didn't know this and since I've been keeping the water level about the output, my plants have gained a few centimeters!

thanks for the advice redwall. what exactly does that do to the plants. when you say less surface agitation, how does that help the plants.
