surface feeding pleco pics

My pleco has almost always been real active. during the last few weeks every time I feed my Oscar he is right in there trying to get his share!.

Tonight at feeding time I decided to watch him close. The O wasn't eating much and spit out most of the pellets (Hikari Cichlid Gold floating). The pleco would then go to the surface and trap it against the glass and then start munching on it! I about fell over from surprise! So now I guess I too will have to try to get a picture! LOL.

Thanks for starting this thread!

My large common pleco would come to the top of the tank and let me hold food for him to eat, it was fun at first but then my arm would get tired of holding the food for him while he tried to keep it in his mouth lol. Sometimes he would get it in and then lean back so looked like he was floating on his back near the top of the water trying to keep the food in his mouth while he ate it. Pleco's are too funny and I sure love them.

that is pretty sweet. I used to have an oscar that would jump out and bite my hand before I could drop the pellets in! lol

LOL, they are big poopers. I use to have a pleco that would swim back and forth in front of the filter intake during a poo and wait until the terd got sucked up and he would hang beside it until he was done poopin. I would laugh everytime I walked by and seen him hanging next to the filter intake b/c I knew he was setting on his thrown.
