Surfs up! Kowabunga! (Wave system)

I too have a wavemaker on my system, as I think the alternating current is a good thing for coral. Not so sure about all the air, though, but hey...it's your tank!

Cool stuff. Not too many in this hobby can say they kept a fish alive for 11 years.
 
Quite honestly, I'm impressed.

The algae, well, to each his own... If you like it and it's not choking out anything else that you'd like to have living in your tank, then I guess it's really not a problem. Short of having your own kelp garden in place of it, I'm not sure what else would provide that kind of dramatic swaying motion so nicely once the waves hit.

I agree. As long as the owner and livestock are happy then everything is great :thm:. I bet the tang doesn't mind having something to hide in. And pick at.

looks really cool in your tank with the algae, but IMHO... it would drive me nuts:lipssealedsmilie: (if i had one in my 24)
