Well, semi-survived. Two of five fishes lived through what I thought was Ich, which was soon followed by a major bacterial breakout (possibly septicemia). A white slime settled on everything, but it died and ended up in my filter when I treated for the ich, which was a lucky accident. Poor guys were on the brink of death, but they look healthy and active now (what I can see through the fog left in my water from the meds). I've treated for the five-day course recommended on the Meracyn box, but I've read advice recommending a 7 or 10-day course of the antibiotic. Any advice? Should I do a partial w/c before beginning another course, to alleviate the cloudiness? Amm 0 Nitrite 0 Nitrate 10. Thanks for reading!

A few questions...

What size tank and what fish do you have left?

How long has this tank been up and operating?

How did you treat and rid your tank of ich?
