it really depends on the wood.

some wood will leech even if you boil it/soak it.. thats just how the wood is.. As i said if you want to keep the water clear then try purigen, or change up your carbon every 2 weeks.

swahala wood looks like mopani wood.. and thats one wood that leeches alot of tannins into the water even after you soak it for a long time..
