Sweet news!!!

Watch your amonia, nitrites for sure. You might think of moving your filter and fish to a 20g tank. If you can, move the filter and your substrate to the 20g. This would be the best solution. Your tank is way too small. If you can't, find someone to take a fish or 3 off your hands. You will definately run into trouble sooner or later. There isn't much else to be done.

Everybody kept talking about incandescent lights, incandescent light are like the ones you screw into your everyday house lamp, it has a filament and puts out a lot of heat. Most of the lights I have seen for aquariums are flourescent, they are the long cylinders filled with gas and that is what I am using. Now I am not trying to be rude or smartmouthed, but I figured I would set it straight.
The reason we mentioned incandescent is because many 10g setups include an incandescent canopy that fits 2-15W or 2-25W incandescent bulbs. I fully understand the difference between this and fluorescent (having planted tanks has allowed me to learn more about light than I ever thought I wanted to know!) ;)

Blinky: I see now, it just seems silly to put an incadescent light in there, I mean it would be like having another heater and having no way to shut it off.

I wish I could get another and bigger tank and stand, but they are expensive (especially with everything included in what you have to buy). I realize I might be pushing the limits on the amount of fish in thetank but I think I am gonna hold what I got for a while and see what happens. If things really start to go crazy then I will do something quickly. Who knows, maybe I will find a good deal on a bigger tank someday.

Oh yeah, thanks for all the input and advice

Fed them last night, guess I am glad that I bought the BIG bottle of food. Gonna need a whole lot more now.

Feed them small amounts. Once a day is plenty. Your tank is on the edge right now and too much food may knock the balance out of your favor. Good luck. You're doing the right thing posting on here. Just pay attention to all the great advice and you will come to appreciate this hobby even more.
