swift/urgent assistance please

ok....IM DONE! for now ...i think.

ya'll's ( he he) way was much faster. As much of the fish food as possible has been removed.Pleco is in my larger fish tank for now, the anabantoids in a bucket for the time being..........snails............chomping away at whatever remains of the disaster,up and down the glass they are...i think they may have spawned.....lol i swear there are more then usual in that tank.

I just have 2 delimmas.....1 what about that black green tint and extra floating particals? should i follow up every few days with a 20% water change until the water it as pristine as it had been before? 2.......my ill frog...he is stressed, he's that white color again...but ...well...his tummy is HUGE from all the food he chowed on while it was at the bottom of the tank, lol.hope he hasnt eaten too much.Would be my fault for leaving the food in there for those 2 hours. the problem with that frog is...im not sure he kn ows how to .."hunt" his food at the bottom of the tank, or purhaps cannot see well. The other frog circles the tank digging extra flake food from the rocks. The sick frog....really doesnt.I have to drop his frozen worms right above his head...repeatedly to get him to eat.anywho, enough on the frog.

tank conditions are fine, temp same as before.......other than the color...it seems great.water smells though...it stinks like.........a poot...or like poop.of couorse from the food, should i worry about that?.

does your filter have activated carbon?

Using activated carbon to eliminate ordor and to clear your water.

I'd suggest you not feed anybody anything for the next couple of days. They will not starve.

Also watch your water parameters. All that food the snails ate is not going to go up into thin air. A LOT of it is still going to become ammonia, and your biofilter may not be able to keep up. I'd test twice daily for the next couple of days.

ok, the water is down to a llight limeish murkyish green color....far better than the blaskish hunterish green color that it was earlier.the oder has lightened a little as well.I have placed the betta, frogs and pleco back inside the quarium. The sickly frog is getting his color back, but lazy and floating at the top of the tank ...lol..in that zen postion they like to do.
I added more carbon to the .... pump filter and that sort of spead the process up.Ill remove a little bit of the carbon later. So, now its just get the plants back in there, they are still sitting in a bucket of the fish tank water, then it will be water changes for the next few days or so.

again ty ty ty ty all 4 your help.

hhmm, ok the water is still pretty murkey and stinky, i did a 20% water change this morning, but it isnt changing...it is also pretty cloudy in there.I have added extra carbon, but i think the pump filter is just too bogged down with gunk..should i clean it or maybe replace it? or will that remove too much of the needed thing?

What kind of filter are you using? It may be necessary to take the filter off of the tank and give it a light cleaning too just to make sure that there is not a clog somewhere that will compromise how the filter funtions. The last thing you need right now is for the filter to shut down during this whole ordeal.
