My sister's fancy goldfish has what I believe a swim baldder problem. I would appreciate any help in saving this fish. I took a short video of it lastnight. Thanks!

Riiight... the thing about swim bladder problems is that there is almost nothing you can do about them. If you catch it in the very early stages, you might try feeding them skinned thawed peas, but later on... There is one method that involves drawing excess gas out of the organ with a hypodermic needle, but I frankly have no clue how to do that.

yeah i would try givin the goldfish some skinned peas also. actually doesnt look too bad, so u maybe able to save him/her. good luck!!!

Thanks! So with the peas? How much and how long? Should this be an ongoing thing that she feeds him/her?

the peas work as basically a laxitive so try it out for a few days and see if there is any progress health wise. im not exactly sure how long is best because the only fish that i have had that had dropsey, i had to end up killing in few days because it got out of hand and the poor fish was misrable. i would just look for any signs of improvement as this is usually a pretty serious problem. GL!!!!!!

Thanks!
