Swimming up and down in corner of tank

bettagurl - My tank is 55 gallons. The clown loach are only one and a half inches right now. There's four adult guppies and eight 2 and a half month old guppies.

I think the loaches will do just fine in your 55.

Well the biggest clown loach I ever seen was 25 years old it was in a 1000 gallon aquarium and was only 8" so my bad if you've seen bigger.

They do get bigger than 8". LoachesOnline is a good site for loaches.
I have had my loaches in my 50 gal for 7 months now. (Loaches are only 2")
they will soon be in my 250.

There is an incredible picture on Loaches on Line of a big Clown, but no explanation whether it was tank raised or wild caught at that size. No dispute that they get to a foot in nature, but I have never seen any more than about 6 inches long that were tank raised. And they were nearly 20 years old according to the owner.

My cories did the same thing for a couple weeks when I first got them. Once the figured out their surroundings, they stopped. I worried that there was something wrong too, but they chilled out after awhile.
