Does anybody have any idea how to move your whole stock of fish from one tank to the next? I have an eheim filter and I've been soaking the media in the water from the other tank for a while and Im planning on using some of the water from the other tank as well. I currently am cycling it with feeder guppies

If you switch over some of your decorations, a few rocks, the substrate, or at least a good portion of it, and keep the biofilter in your eheim alive you should have a large enough population of bacteria to deal with your bioload immediatly or within 24 hours.

I just recently went from 15 to 30g. I set up what ever new stuff I was adding (gravel and water and new filter) let it run over night while the temps came up. Then the next day, I transferred in all the old gravel, and placed it on top of the new (to keep the bacteria on top and working). I transplanted all the old plants, transferred decorations, put on the old filter, and put fish in.

It was great, no cycle and I got a kick start on dealing with the dreaded green water. Just make sure everything stays wet that has bacteria. Its also a good time to aquascape and you can do stuff step by step, so things can hang in your old tank while you deal with new and vice verse.
