Sword plant propagation

I have a sword that has a runner with 3 small plants on it. When and how do I detach and replant the little ones?

You can do it almost immediately (after having 2 or 3 leaves each), but I usually wait to see several 3"+ roots and several leaves each. Then simply cut the very bottom of the runner stalk, and cut the stalk on either side of the plantlets. Throw away the stalk parts. Plant them as usual! Extremely easy to do.

That has worked well for me as well. Just like Bmeasure, I like to let the plant grow a bit on the stalk before cutting it off so it has some good roots and strong leaves.
