Hello everyone. Here are my tanks and their inhabitants:
37 gallon tall
(This tank currently has salt in it from a battle with ick three weeks ago and now has 30% water change less salt. Ick gone with no signs for 2 weeks.)
ammonia 0, nitrites 0, nitrates 5-10, ph 7.6
20 swordtail fry in a breeding net
male and female swordtail
4 fancy guppies
1 gourami
1 bala shark
(I know the bala shark is going to get 12" or more and I have a 120 gallon tank it will go into in a few months that currently has 2 RES's that will be going into a huge pond)
10 gallon qt
ammonia 0, nitrites 0, nitrates 5, ph 7.6
clown loach
2 black tetras was three one died after 12 hours in qt
1 rainbow tetra
My question is: Will the swordtail fry die easily with the wc taking the salt out? Or should I continue adding the salt to keep them from dying of stress of wc without salt? If I can keep taking the salt out, can I just transfer the fry to the ten gallon and put my qt inhabitants in the 37 gallon?
Ok, now one last question, once my 120 is ready for the clown loach and bala shark, is my 37 tall going to be at capacity with 2 swordtails, 4 guppies, 1 gourami, 4 tetras because I would like to put some of the fry in it and get the gourami a mate perhaps.
TIA.
