Swordtails with Danios?

I know this is an old thread but I found it as I was looking for new fish to pair with my 6 swordtails. I did have some mollies so there is 1 tablespoon of aquarium salt per 5 gallons. It's a 20 gallon so that's 4 tablespoons of aquarium salt.
I guess that would be very bad for zebra danios? If so and I wanted that breed, how long till (weekly 50% water changes) salt is no longer an issue for them?

well the danios MIGHT nip them but i am not so sure they would nop a sword tail.

Gello, gradually reducing the salt will be less of a shock to your fish, so don't do anything too drastic to change your water chemistry. Just keep your regular routine, and don't add any more salt. Not sure how long it will take to dilute the salt, but I'm sure someone else can chime in on how bad salt is for danios. I myself don't use it anymore.

As to danios being nippy, yeah, they sure can be. I have GloFish danios in my community tank, and they can be terrors. Danios are very active, need lots of swimming space, and can get nippy if they aren't kept in a large enough group.

my mom once tried to get glodanios for her birth day from walmart...they all died.
