Has anyone ever witnessed this behavior between Shrimp Gobies and shrimps other than Pistols? My Goby has formed a symbiotic relationship with not one, but TWO Peppermint Shrimp. It's pretty interesting to watch and I wasn't aware that it was even possible. They all live together in a cave within the LR and definitely interact with one another in much the same way as you'd expect to see between a Goby and a Pistol Shrimp. I'm almost tempted to add a Pistol Shrimp just to see what would happen.

The relationship won't quite be the same. I'm sure if given the right opportunity, the goby will take advantage of whatever it can find that would remotely serve the same purpose. Definitely not natural, but not entirely surprising given the adaptability of everything. Can't say I've heard of it before, but there's a first for everything, right? I would imagine the peppermints would be chased away in relatively short order if you were to introduce a pistol shrimp. They are fairly territorial.
