Synodontis Decorus kept in high PH at LFS, any chance of survival in PH Neutral tank?

By granny I meant syno granulosus

Hehe then put syn in front of it next time or S.g. Or Syn. g. Ahhhhhhh

My fault won't happen again

Got any pics of gran. By the way?

You guys would all die if you had any idea of the prices over here! I've been on a couple of US sites for livestock and I nearly died at the prices! They are so incredibly less expensive then what we pay for fish over here.
To give you an idea for a syno. eupteris we're looking at $395
Any thing but a common pleco, over $100
We pay anything from $595+ for Birchirs over here
and the best I ever saw a Zebra Pleco was $795
Thats why over here, you gotta do everything right, otherwise its your life savings your flushing down the toilet (*Figure of speech* lol, I never once have flushed a fish down the toilet :P)
I'd be interested in getting a syno shipped, but I don't know about the whole quarantine thing...

sorry, didn't realize that you were is Aus. until after I posted about the price. now i understand. Go on holiday to some south asian country and smuggle the fish back with you.

Law of Supply and Demand and restriction of imports play their role on the price.:) Due to the restrictions, there is bound to be a very high demand for a popular fish.

I'd move there tomorrow, if it didn't involve moving my tanks...lol.

Trust me, you could easily sell your tanks before moving, and when you got settled in on this side of the pond buy and stock new tanks with the money from your old ones. From what I've gathered tanks are as relatively ridiculously expensive as the fish in Oz. Not to mention availability, just about any fish you could want can be found here. Not every fish, all the time, but sooner or later 'most any critter can be found.

i paid £6.50 for my dec syno which is $14 AUS.

i wanna move to aus in future but it seems certain things are expensive...

in england everything is taxed 999 times and we pay about 5 times the price.

in aus its expensive due to transportation fees.

in usa its cheaper than here as they dont tax everything 999 times lol
