I've been investigating some T5 light fixtures, such as those from Sunlight Supply (Tek Light T5) or some of the German made ones (Aqua Connect Maxima) which are rather slimline but are suppose to be suspended from the roof. I'm wondering if anyone who has used similar fixtures whether it is possible to mount them under a hood or would they cause problems with heat/ventilation?
I know there are retrofit kits offered by some manufacturers, was just curious to know how flexible the pre-made fixtures are in placement.
