I had a family friend give me 2 current nova T5 freshwaters that were fixer uppers. I have one goin after changing bulbs and installin a new grounded plug. Now Im on to the other one. This one the light socket, tombstone, had locked up and I couldnt get it to twist back. So needless to say I forced it and found out how brittle they are. I have googled t5 light sockets and have found some but they seem to be a bit pricey. Then I find there are shunted and non shunted. So my thing is I have them for the 54W 48" version. None of them say what they are rated for, Im assuming 120W 600V. Are all t5 sockets set for any wattage depending on ballast? Plus Id like to get the same size since lookin them over there tends to be a variety of twist lock sizes. Anyone have suggestions?

Just drop into your local Electrical wholesaler (who provides electrical stuff to Electricians) and ask for them. Some smaller stores won't have them, so you might need to look up a wholesaler who specialises more in lights.

There are also Tombstones called 'End Caps' that are round and just push onto the pins, and these are what I use. I hold the lights in place with small special T5 sized lamp clips.
