So, on my 60gal project I want to use Current USA's 48" T5 54x2. Anyone see a problem with using these on a 23"deep tank with a glass top? I am not looking to add CO2 or do anything fancy, the plants will be Crypts, maybe some vals, and other low - med light plants. I just want to be sure that the glass + depth won't be too much for the fixture

Current Satellites either single or dual refurbs on ebay

I prefer satelittes myself - I like the idea of the actinics blue glows & lunar led lamp. I just picked up a great deal on a 36" dual satellite which I use on my 48" tank. but you can get the single strip which would combo the white & blue lites. look at the specs descriptions for both that's what sold me.

otherwise you can see your choice on here also - excellent bid price & buy now price.

I highly recommend buying here - up to 50-67% off retail!

Thanks for the info. I actually have a PC fixture that came with the tank, a Current USA Orbit 65wx4. I just don't want that much light, and the fixture is kinda large. I will miss the lunar lights, but I just want somethign a tad sleeker.

The height and the glass strips will be good thing, because 2x54watt T5 would be a bit much for a 60gal without CO2, imo.

Well, I am thankful for the dumb luck of getting a tall tank and glass top and having it work out better.
