Tang Eel?????

Hi, has enybody ever heard of a Tang Eel. i recently saw some at my LFS but after searching for them on the internet for a long time i couldnt find anything. they were light brown with darker stripes frome nose to tail and were about 8" long. they were in a tank, living comfterbly with some Tanganyikan cichlids. does anyone know ANYTHING about them?

there are a number of eels endemic to Lake Tanganyika (Africa) ... http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=tanganyikan++eel. perhaps the "tang" used as an abreviatioin for this?

ye i thought that they were prety cool, they lok like long fat loaches exept not as much coulor.
