Several years agoI was buying fish from a breeder and I was just trying to get java moss to grow for me and it wasn't doing well, and he was telling me he had been trying for years to get rid of it. He said he would clean his tanks and think it was all gone only to find it creeping up here and there again several weeks later, just a constant struggle for him. He didn't like it because it was always getting in his filters and clogging them.

I had a group of vals die off in my setup this past summer but my new group is doing well. It almost seems like they have their own personalities...
Yep agree some will work for one hobbyist and not for the other, their funny like that my java fern that is in my 55gal Malawi setup is over 6 yrs old and still going..
