I've managed to get a webcam ino my fishtank. It took some plexi sheets left voer from another project, two usb repeater cables, and some free software on my Mac to get to where you, dear readers, can see from inside my tank live on the intarwebitron!

head over to http://www.esworp.net:8080/webcam.html and check it out (you'll need the latest-greatest new hotness version of Java for it to work). The cam is off by around 10pm local time and turns on at 10am.

I've also been fooling around with time-lapse video, too. Nice way to see if your plants repsond positively to changes. http://www.esworp.net/Timelapse.mov is a huge and slow-going download, but that part of the deal is still in experiementation.

I like the way the blind cave tetras have a tendency to swim right in front of the camera. It lets you get a good look at them since they're in focus.

Hey Kas, did you give it a minute to load? I got the grey box too, so I minimized the window, and when I restored it, the images started.
