Hi all. I was told that there is some kind of ?vaccum, skimmer,or ?object that you can put in your tank over night and the next AM all the junk from the bottom of the tank is removed
(collected and contained). I don't know where it goes but if this is true, I SURE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT IT IS AND WHERE I CAN GET ONE.

Please help
:)

Hey Smokie
I have seen "Skimmer Boxes" used on big pleco tanks, they are basically a long thin box that sit on the bottom of the tank which is sort of shaped like a vacum cleaner head with alot of little slots or holes cut into it, which is attached to a pump. The one i saw was really effective at cleaning the bottom of the tank, however, this setup was running a large sump with a spray bar returning the water into the tank at the top and cycling it that way.
I hope you understand what i mean, i will also try and get you some pics if you want.
This idea is DIY and can be addapted to MOST tanks i think.
Im thinking about giving one ago myself.

Hope this helps
Nick
