More than likely not though.

I have a 56 gallon show aquarium (It is very tall and very deep front to back yet only 32" long) I set it up last week, and it remained perfectly crystal clear until... I turned on the heater. Then it became all cloudy, and right away as well. (Within hours)

I did a massive water change (90%) and all was well again, until the heater comes on.

My water parameters are checked with the Mardel 5 in 1 strip (I know not the best, but is what I have) All are well within any dangerous margins.

The aquarium has no fish in it yet. I am planning on putting in a small group of Zebra's as my first step in cycling.

I use for filtration two (2) Marineland BioWheel filters (The 200 model) and airate with a 4" stone. I have also pre-seeded the aquarium with bacteria in a bottle starter just tonight.

Is this just a normal bloom that when the water was heated triggered it? Or could there be anything else I need to do, look at.

Thanks.

:)

You'd never know since the strips don't even read ammonia until it's at .50 most of the time.
.25 is dangerous, .50 can be lethal.
Not that you'd have ammonia anyway without any fish.

Out of curiosity, why add the danios as ANY step in cycling? There's no need to cycle with fish anymore. It's best not add any until after your tank is cycled.
