I recieved a 55 gallon fish tank from someone who I dont think took very good care of their fish (they had 2 large oscars and 1 large jd in it) and the tank was pretty gross...i cleaned it up and after having it for going on 3 months now the glass on the inside still looks really dull and icky...and the water just wont go clear it always seems cloudy even though i test my water and everything is perfect...will this ever clear up or are my hopes a loss due to the previous owners neglect.

If it's a glass tank, go buy a razor and try scraping the glass off maybe. If it's acrylic I think you might be SOL on this one. I have no experience with acrylic, but I don't think you can polish it without taking out the water.
