tank crack leads to disaster! please read

I was sold an eighty gallon tank that was dried out and the sealents were weak ... i filled it up and after an hour it started to bow forward more than an inch .. it was SO close to bursting before I emptied it...

My Danio lived in a bucket for a couple days before they got me a new tank.
 
I have always lived by the saying that all things happen for a reason and most bad things result in something better thats why they happen. I try to make bad experiences learning experiences. I had a 55 gallon piranah tank that was only 2 years old the bottom glass one day cracked. I knew I had to get a new tank so I ran fast to the local fish store to replace it. I was suprised to find a 75 gallon on sale for the same price as the 55 gallon. I needed to upgrade anyway so I bought it what luck. If my tank would not have cracked who knows if I would have actually upgraded in time. Needless to say I sold the 75 gallon tank to a friend with the fish that was 5 years ago now and the tank is still up and running and the fish are still going strong.
