Tank crashed...

Okay.

I have a powerhead coming next weekend, then I'll set up a wave generator.

PH is now 8.4, everything else is in normal except phosphates are still a little high.

Everything's still in the green. I have a MASSIVE pod population now, both amphi and copepods. My algae is going away, even, hopefully the quick growing algae and huge pod population will reach some kind of equilibrium soon. :)

More images uploading right now, including some good pics of my Yellow Rose Antenna Goby, and a few blurry pics of the pistol shrimp that's sharing a tunnel with it. :)

I would guess that something in one of those tablets had copper in it. That would explain all the inverts choking and a Nitrate spike.

You are probably right. I'm throwing away the remainder of them as well as returning the unopened pack I bought a long time ago.

All I can say is..........WTF??? The absolute last thing you should be thinking about is "picking up some coral soon" or anything live!

BTW, what are you using to test PH where you have been able to differentiate so accurately?

"I tested and got tons of phosphates and nitrates up the wazoo."

"phosphates are very very close to 0, calcium is right around 500, KH is in the norm (can't remember the number)."

"I forgot to do a PH test, oh well, it should be fine."

"I may be picking up some coral soon, but I need to swap around lighting first."

Because I had some coral in the tank for a while and it was doing fine. I dunno. everything's still normal, and my coral is growing like crazy, a large base rock is now a large live rock. I also added another 5 lbs of liverock, which seems to have really added to the stability of the tank.

Plus, you're quoting things about a month apart. A lot changes in a month, especially with a nano, although it seem to be pretty much in an equilibrium right now.
