is it okay to keep a plant+shrimp tank in the bedroom?
does constant changing temperature harm them?

i dont know how heater works,
if i was to use it, would it keep the temperature at a steady rate? even in anywhere?
 
Any tank that houses tropical life should have a heater. If sized properly, it will hold temperature pretty steady. I have a pair of 150 watt heaters in my 55 gallon tank, which is in my bedroom. I live on the coast of California, but my room is horrendously cold compared to the rest of the house. The heaters do fine keeping up with the weather.
 
what size tank is it?
if you use a heater it should keep a steady temp, but that will depend on the size of the tank.
 
I have a planted cherry shrimp tank on my dresser in my bedroom. The heater keeps the tank a consistent temp, it should switch off if the temp is above what the desired temp is.
 
The only addition to the above points I'd add is that the heater will maintain a minimum low temp, not a maximum high point. If your bedroom gets hotter than the set tempp of the heater, water temp will continue to rise without a chiller or method for lowering the temp.

i havent got the tank that i intend to put in the bedroom yet..
i actually want to set up a few of shrimp breeding tank..
what do you suggest?
i want to keep the cost low...

probably a 10 gal nano i guess...
It will be a planted tank housing with shrimps..
will this size of tank have steady temp with the heater on?
I am staying in Singapore now, the temp here is about 25C on the normal day I think..
 
Pickup a 50watt heater and it'll be fine. I dont know what brands you have access too, but I like the Marineland Visitherm-Stealth line, they are all black and made of shatterproof plastic.
