tank mates for oscar

1 Tiger Oscar Or Zebra Oscar Or Magnesume Cichlid

In a 75 gallon you could add either a another oscar, a severum, chocolate cchlid, or other cichlid that has the teperment of an oscar and doesnt get too big.HTH.

Heres what I have in my listing below,I did have to remove the midas though, other than that all the others are good.

Another oscar or an armored catfish that gets between 6-12'' (such as a royal pleco or full sized adult bristlenose).

If you raise them together when they are small, you could try and get a pair of Oscars. Personally, I would only keep one Oscar in the 75 gallon. South American cichlids are prone to head and lateral line erosion. Lots of speculation, but most feel it's brought on by poor water quality. Oscars are really pigs when it comes to generating an inordinate amount of waste. If you do manage to shoehorn in another large cichlid, make sure to stay on top of your tank maintenance with water changes and siphoning.

I have a red devil in there with mine, and he is a terror....dont make the same mistake i did..... :shark:

a jack demp. wood be good

I have two oscars that are about 6" and put a 7" synodontis ocelifer(catfish) in with it and they seem to be just fine. I think it all depends on how aggressive your oscar is.
