Do you guys know where I can find something that's made of mesh or like a net that can cover a 20 gallon completely? I don't have anything covering the tank and I'm worried that the fish will jump out. Can you guys think of anything I can use found at Home Depot? Thanks in advance

How about a piece of "egg crate", the lighting grid they sell at most box hardware stores. Lots of people use it to help spread the weight of rocks and so they do not rest on the glass directly. I have also used it as a divider for larger fish.

I got a great "cover" at my local pet store , it's a cover for reptiles but fit the tank perfectly, was easy to cut out the parts for filter etc and only cost 5 dollars. The security of it fitting the tank, was a real bonus for me verses something that sits on top wobbling.

yeah, i was thinking about buying window screens that will cover the tank. I think it should be flexible enough yeah?

I also use a tank cover that is meant for reptiles on my 10 gallon tank. I got it from petsmart and it was only 10.00. There are little spots on all 4 corners that allow room for wires, and I haven't had any problems. I should mention that I live in Canada too, so if you are located in the USA you will probably be able to get it for cheaper. There is also the petsmart trick too. Print off the online price and bring it into the store, they should match it no questions asked.
