You could attach an extension cord to it. Thats what I did for my ebo jager. Its weird though, the cord on the tronic reaches without a problem, yet the ejo which supposedly has a 6' cord doesn't. They are positioned at the same height in the tank. I will measure them to see exactly how long they are.
