my first post.. I've been reading all you guys post for weeks now and have learn a lot I thank you all. I have a question for anyone. I priced a 100 gal glass tank setup. 72x18x18 includes pine stand and hood, lights and heater , pump and rocks, I ask for a setup for Oscars. I have five and growing. the tank is for the two oldest. Anyway my question is does $845 sound ok for the price.

I just bought a 120 with stand for $600. And that just tank and stand. No lights, canopy and all that.

a 125 would have been cheaper, because it is a 72" and the 120 is a 48".

You could probably save a ton of money if you buy the tank and stand locally. The rest of the stuff is much cheaper online, check out bigalsonline.com , they have really cheap prices. Then you can pick and choose which components you buy based on your needs, budget, research, etc. You would need a filter, lighting, heater, thermometer, basic chemicals and water treatments, food, maintenence items like a net, and a "python" for water changes. I'm sure that I am forgetting a couple of things but it's a start. Save money and shop around online. Also here is a good site for product reviews from fellow aquatic keepers, also it reviews some retailers. Check it out....
