Hello guys and gals,
I am working on a tank refurb, and have a few questions for someone that has been there, and done that.
I have all the glass apart. After cutting the glass apart, I found that there were little rubber discs (about 1/16" thick, and about 1/4" diameter) that kept the glass surfaces at the joints from making glass to glass contact.
I read that you do want a small bead of silicone between the glass glass, as well as the "glazing" you do at the joints.
I was told by someone that has refurbed small tanks, that you do not want the silicone "bead" between the 2 surfaces, just glaze the joints.
Anyone have any input?
Thanks
