Just a quick question. I'm building a custom 125g stand and I need to get a moulding for the top edge that will hide the bottom trim on the tank. Can anyone tell me what that trim measures that covers the bottom. Thanks in advance.

On my glass cages 125 it is 1 1/2"

My 125 bottom frame is 1-1/2" and the Oceanic matching wood stand has a molding size of 2-3/4 which rises above or hides the aquarium frame by 1/4". This molding is attached to the outside of the stand and surrounds 3 sides with the back open to slide the aquarium. I would stick with this standard mold size if you want it to look normal, however I would only use molding if you going to have a matching canopy that also incorporates an edge that hides the aquarium frame otherwise it will look odd and incomplete if only the bottom frame is covered IMO.

Thanks guys. I ordered a tank today, so I will allow 1-1/2" and put the molding up. I do plan on doing a matching canopy eventuall, but for now I can at least get the tank up. Here's a couple of pics of where I'm at now. I got the idea on another site from a carpenter who did his own also.
