tank set-up

Great!...so now i'll follow the post u sent me from here out....and the link of the freshwater fish is fabulous...there's soo much to choose from.But the one thing that I will definately keep in mind is when I do purchase fish see how big they get when full grown,so they will be able to move about freely
 
Perhaps upping the heat did help you a little. Since you are doing a fishless cycle there is room for error, but I have seen cycles that go faster than others. You are getting an amonia drop, and a nitrite spike. Definatly on the right course :)

now I'm ready to think stocking,rbishop gave me a couple of good links for fish...and i definately want a community tank....exotic if possible....
 
wow, I checked my ammonia level this morn before work...it was 1.5mg/l....I added ammonia (about 4ml of a 12 ml dropper....) I just got home and it's back @ 1.5.....I should now dose to keep it around 2mg/l huh?
